Product Overview
Grade 3 titanium wire is a commercially pure titanium wire with higher strength than Grade 1 and Grade 2 while still maintaining very good corrosion resistance. It is used when additional strength is needed for corrosion-resistant wire products, industrial fabrication, and formed-wire components, while keeping good weldability and reasonable formability.

Chemische Zusammensetzung
| Element | Content |
|---|---|
| Titanium | Balance |
| Eisen | ≤ 0,30 % |
| Oxygen | ≤ 0.35% |
| Kohlenstoff | ≤ 0,08% |
| Nitrogen | ≤ 0.05% |
| Hydrogen | ≤ 0.015% |
Typische Anwendungen
- Corrosion-resistant formed-wire components requiring higher strength than Grade 2
- Chemical processing and marine hardware under higher mechanical load
- Industrial fasteners, ties, fixtures, and spring-like wire parts where applicable
- Heat exchanger and condenser accessories in aggressive environments
- General fabrication where CP titanium is preferred
Common Sizes and Forms of Supply
- Diameter range: 0.10 mm to 6.00 mm
- Supply forms: spooled wire, coils, straightened and cut lengths
- Surface/condition options: annealed or cold-worked per requirement
| Diameter Category | Durchmesser Bereich | Common Uses |
|---|---|---|
| Fine wire | 0.10–1.00 mm | weaving, mesh, precision forming |
| Medium wire | 1.00–6.00 mm | formed parts, industrial hardware, higher-load components |
National Grade Designations
- USA: ASTM Grade 3, UNS R50550
- China: TA3
- Japan: JIS Class 3 (commercially pure titanium)
- Russia: VT1-0 / VT1-1 family equivalents used in some supply chains
Certifications and Standards
- ASTM B863 titanium wire available
- ISO 9001 quality management system available
- EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificate available

Notes and Precautions
- Grade 3 provides higher strength but reduced formability compared with Grade 1/2; confirm bending radius and forming route before production.
- Maintain clean handling and storage to avoid surface contamination that can affect corrosion performance and welding.
- For welding, use appropriate filler selection and full inert gas shielding per your WPS.
