Product Overview
Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn wire is a high-strength alpha-beta titanium alloy wire commonly used in aerospace structures and high-performance hardware. It offers higher strength potential than Ti-6Al-4V in many conditions, with good corrosion resistance and heat-treatability. It is typically selected for demanding fastener and structural applications where high strength-to-weight ratio is required.

National Grade Designations
- International designation: Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn
- USA: commonly supplied per AMS requirements for Ti-6-6-2 programs; UNS designation used in some supply chains
- China: equivalency to be confirmed per GB/enterprise specification before substitution
- Russia/EU/Japan: confirm designation per governing standard for the program
Certifications and Standards
- ISO 9001 quality management system available
- EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificate available
- Chemical analysis and heat/lot traceability available per order
- AMS/ASTM compliance available when specified at purchase
Notes and Precautions
- This is a heat-treatable alloy; properties depend strongly on condition and heat treatment. Specify required tensile/elongation targets and condition when ordering.
- For welding or critical joining, use strict inert gas shielding and surface preparation to prevent oxygen and nitrogen pickup.
- Do not substitute for Ti-6Al-4V without verifying chemistry, heat treatment response, and design allowables.
